Herbaceous, overtly aromatic; shrill acidity, screechy finish. Semillon is a no show. Best drunk up

Bottle # 2: Wow. On nose and palate: what a difference even 6 months seems to make: all notes from February hold true, but a seamless weaving of fruit and oak is now noted, after a 3 hour decant.....full flavoured , rich, but bone dry....with notes of toasted bread, parsnip( in a good way) and light notes of quinine ( in the mode of Ch. Carbonnieux blanc) making their presence known.....in Vancouver, at $43.00 a bottle...not cheap...but not unreasonable, for …

New vintage of this for me. On nose: candied lemon peel braced by tart green lime peel. On palate: above flavour notes follow through, in addition to prominent ( but not intrusive )vanilla/ oak, smoke, tarragon, dried apricot and Charenton melon notes....all framed on a full , rich, but bone dry body. A dramatic New World version of a White Bordeaux. Can, and will age well....as always , a great foil for Salmon , Chicken and Sea Bass....a two hour …

Pale gold with notes of citrus, lemongrass, boxwood, apricot, gooseberry and a touch of honey. Medium body with fresh acidity. On the palate some lime, key lime pie, passionfruit, kiwis, good minerality with a touch of creaminess and savory spice. Nice! The addition of the sémillon really lends a nice body and exotic notes to this wine.

Impressive. Quite different from typical New Zealand sauvignon blanc, undoubtedly due in large part to the 30% semillon. Very complex, with intense tropical fruit character. Classic sauvignon grassy aromas. Some reductive burnt-match aromas too.

A really vivid, full throttle New World version of white Bordeaux. Bright lemon-lime top notes from the SB balanced by the creamy underlying richness of the Semillon. Serious and fun at the same time.
