Medium to full bodied, smooth, dryish to off-dry, showing subtle funky notes with a nice twist of cherry liqueur. Darned delicious stuff. A great quaff after the sauna.

This is a cherry-flavored edition of Rodenbach Grand Cru: a blend of sour foederbier aged for 2 years in foeders (2/3) and freshly brewed ale (1/3). Sour cherries are left to macerate in the beer for a short while. 5,6% alcohol. Brewed in 2020, best before August 14th 2023. Clear, luminous reddish-coppery color with a moderately big but short-lived grayish-tan head. Looks slightly paler in color than Rodenbach Grand Cru that was tasted alongside.
