This is a terrific wine that is at its apogee. Lots of citrus fruit, including lemon, lemon curd, pear and stone fruits, plus great minerality, and saline. Also, I find a little butterscotch too which I enjoy. It has a medium body with crisp acidity and a lovely finish that keeps you coming back for more.

This wine has been terrific every time. At 7 years old, it’s really shining. I still get the essence of rocks, or liquid rock, with stone fruits and a hint of citrus, but somehow wine has added a sense of power, and become weightless. It’s a real show stopper for sure. Afterthoughts of white flower petals, and dry honey.

Flott sitron, krem, fin syre, høy drikkbarhet, men noe varm i frukten i mellompartiet, relativt lang ettersmak.

Påtagligt återhållen och lågmäld men med en perfekt balans mellan skärpa i syran och mjukt inbäddande fat. Väldigt snyggt och förstås dito gott!

Opens with notes of orchard fruit, lime zest, transitioning to some minerality and an herbal finish. Nice balance here, with sweetness up front and acid at the back end. Some buttery notes in the mid-palate, but it never becomes overbearing and fades in the finish as the acid becomes more dominant. 13% ABV.

Lighter in color than many Chardonnays. Floral and citrus on the nose, pineapple and Meyer lemon across the tongue. A little bit of vanilla, but not enough of that or the oak to where I would have guessed 100% barrel fermented. That’s bonus points from me. Nicely balanced acidity and a streak of our local gravel in the finish. I’m not a big white wine drinker, but this encourages me to drink more. 1/11/2025 Not really much to add to …

PnP, doesn't need any decant. Starts with a beautiful aroma of lemon , pineapple , citrus, minerals and floral. Loaded with flavor showing lemon, pear, pineapple, floral, salinity and minerals. Medium body with good acidity and a smooth finish. Showing really well, but should hold for at least 5 years.

This is in the zone on PnP - I didn’t get any reductive aspects at all. Lots of pear, lemon, guava notes on the nose and palate, backed with noticeable acidity to frame it all nicely. Some caramel notes along with baking spices emerge as it warms and gets some air time. Excellent wine and I wish I had multiple bottles to follow over a few years. This is drinking fabulously right now but no rush to drink up - …

Very nice bottle. Pale color. Balanced, restrained fruit flavors, great acidity, excellent handling of oak. The exciting edge is missing, though. Maybe there is more to come and some complexity will develop with bottle age.

Somewhat reductive with notes of cheese (not too strong, just some funk, goes away with air). Delightful fruit with passion fruit, also orange and green banana with some oak. Oaky notes become more present with air, but it's not too much. Lively acidity.

Consumed over 2 days while on vacation. The wine was store in a refrigerator with the cork returned to the the bottle before day 2. The wine was consumed out of the new VYCE stemless wine tumblers. The color was a lighter shade of yellow. The nose was of fresh cut flowers. The palate was of lemon, fresh pineapple, white pepper and salinity. The acidity is vibrant at medium(++) and makes you mouth continously water. The wine will improve with …

No detailed note. Quite reductive, but showing some fruit. I’d say this needs time…

Other recent notes have described this voluminously, so I'll simply add that the clear fruit and depth on the midpalate balances the zippy acidity very well. Delightful bottle.

Kutch Verticals--Trout Gulch, McDougall and Falstaff : Part of the vertical we did (non-blind) of Trout Gulch, 2017 -2021. We did not taste the 2016 (no one locally owned it) and the 2021 was a tank sample that Jamie pulled for us and shipped down for the tasting. This starts reductive (much like the 2018 and 2020). This showed a richness to me, very spicy and lots of concentration. Pineapple, lemon curd, spicy green apple and banana. The reduction early …

This is sensational; it was best on the third day. This wine is so great, all at once I was hit with crystallized rocks, flowers, orchard, and tropical fruit. The fruit and tropical fruit essence was small, and just perceptible, but was kaleidoscopic in presentation, nearly faceted. There were layers of apple skin, mineral, like gravel road, and dusty clay road, and myriad flower petals, and many colored wild berries. I drank this with fresh red snapper, cooked many ways. …

Nose of citrus blossom and flowers, on the palate primarily lemon, saline minerality, oyster shell. Very well balanced with a bright acidity, medium bodied. Medium finish. Great producer and great vineyard. I do not get any of the "funkiness" described in the Jancis Robinson tasting note.

Brilliant yellow with gold highlights. Prominent aromas of lemon, apricot, brioche on the nose. Crystalline core of stone fruit on the palate with vibrant acids, a nice bite of bitter rind at the back into the very long finish. Beautifully balanced with great tension and drive.

This is a sweet spot wine for me. Instant boom!! Faceted, with multiple colors of light fruit and essence. It is also, crisp, and laden with mineral. Wonderful, and drinking great at 3 years old.

Opened 90 mins ago, with the wine at near room temp for this note (70f). For Night 1, aromatically I find a cool kind of toasty note lurking, along with something floral like a honeysuckle. The core of the wine really shines with much more pear showing in this bottle than the bottle this past December. As the wine moves across the palate, the apple appears, along with citrus and pineapple. And like the December 2020 bottle, there is the …
