Cocco, Brunello di Montalcino

Opened and let air for about an hour. A lighter style brunello. Bright cherry up front, not much tannin at all, and not a lot of the earthiness on the nose that a lot of Italian wines exhibit. Red cherry on the palate, and a little savoriness that followed, very good acidity. Had a glass before dinner, then another with our cioppino which is where it really sang. Very reticent on day one, but opened up beautifully on day two. A tremendous wine and value as always.
