Tenuta Selvadolce Terrazze dell'Imperiese Rebosso

Very good, as is consistently the case with Aris's wines. This is not your father's Vermentino. Vines from 2010, planted to a density of 7.000/Ha. No maceration on skins, though the wines does rest on the lees for an extended time; bottled in June '21. After nearly three years of rest, this wine has reached its preferred plateau, and it's just marvelous. Straw>gold color, bright and clear. Deep golden in the glass. Pleasantly rich aromatic profile - ripe pear, peach, nectarine, pineapple. Little bit of iodine in there as well. The palate is overdone though. Really blasting alcohol that just seems to smother everything the nose has been working hard for. The acidity can’t keep up and let’s the wine slip away into a flabby, short finish.
