At 16 years of age this bottle is fantastic. Two of us were skeptical to begin, but the nose was a complex mix of black cherry, licorice & apple. Still enough tannins for a clean finish & it opened nicely over a couple of hours. Great ‘legs’ & just the right balance of fruits & berries. Still quite full bodied as well. Based on the previous reviews I believe the expectations early on were not presented until a few years …

Improved after a couple days under Coravin. Nice flavors, varietally correct Pinot, black raspberry, sweet strawberry, some spicy black pepper. Fairly high acid. Fine tannins. Some earthiness on the long finish. Pretty nice American Pinot. Rating may be conservative. Perhaps better in 2-3 years.

Surprisingly good at this age for the Villages cuvee. Definitely mature - maybe just past peak, but still a lot of body and pretty decent fruit. No notes, but drinking very well.

A hidden nose of cherries. A bit light on the palate. Pleasant but in no means mind blowing. But there are a lot worse Pinots out there that cost more than the $18 I paid for this.

Young but drinkable. No distinctive qualities. Not sure I'd buy more.

Pretty tight nose of cherries. Body of red fruits and hefty tannins. See how this tastes on night two.

This is simply delicious Pinot. The nose is full of oriental spice, wildflowers and berries and plums. The taste is filled with red berries and plums and a wonderful cinnamon like spice. This wine will continue to improve for at least five years or more.

Offline in Dobbs Ferry (Dale's House) : Ripe, new world color in the glass. Pretty closed on the nose, but showed typical pinot cherry and a little beetroot. Didn’t see any evolution here but, hey, this is just a baby. Palate was definitely more expressive than the nose, with more bright cherry, some acid, warm leaves. Hard for me to assess this young and without much Oregon pinot experience to put it into context, but a nice, clean, typical pinot. …

Black cherry on the nose, not much nuance. Red cherry and raspberry on palate, but rather ripe and fleshy. Fairly tough tannins, but of course this is really early to try this wine.

Bottle was finished over two days. Very dark, almost black color, magenta at the rim. First night: super rich dark cherries, a touch of spice on the nose. Big fruit extract on the palate with a fair amount of tannin. Little acidity. Topheavy. Second night: nose showing more floral notes with the fruit in the background. Tannins mellowed a bit but again lacking the acidity to sharpen up the palate and stretch the flavors out. Not my style.
