Needed time to breathe as little aroma in opening. once aired and filtered resudue out we enjoyed this as a burgandy style experience mineral and vegetal, in the woods but non-sweet cherry and raspberry scents and flavors wafting along, too. some leather taste also; extremely smooth finish. Nice to drink on its own before dinner 1 evenings in a row. agree it is not in same league as Spring Mtn Cabs but good even past prime consume date

Drinkable, but not great. Slightly cooked notes.

Family deep red center, red rim with some signs of age. Ripe cherries, toasty, caramel, touch of curry leaves. Smooth, slightly vegetal mix of cherries, raspberries and grapes leaves, a little barnyard, cola and oak, reasonable acidity, good finish. Well aged Pinot, not the forte of SMV but still a good job, drinking well now.

Really complex and expressive, but brawny, funky, red-fruited in a way that made me think aged CdP. Only fainting showing Pinot character after an hour or 2 in decanter. Got a long life ahead of it but was definitely not what I was expecting

A bit of cow manure, fruity; strawbs and rasps; a bit of savory flavors like soy sauce. Some age but not a ton
