My last of this vintage but have a case the '14 in my cellar to look forward to. Should be fine for another 3yrs or so.

As per my March note. Fabulous value. Absolutely no rush. 91+

Holding back for a couple of years has paid off. The Syrah (20%) element dominates the flavour profile with ripe dark hedge fruit, the Cab Sauv (60%) provides structure and the Merlot (20%) I haven't a clue!! Lots of smoke, dry spice and liquorice nuances and firm integrated tannins. Perfect acidity. Very fine indeed. Good now and for another 5yrs or so. 91?+

Has closed down somewhat since my first note last autumn. Very good indeed as it stands, with the Merlot element particularly to the fore with its ripe cooked plummy fruit. Grainy tannins and hints of spice and florals suggest secondary flavours yet to emerge. Earth and good acidity. If a tad one dimensional at the moment I have high hopes of this wine hitting the excellent level given more time in my cellar. Hold till 2021 at least - and …

Not served in ideal conditions so not marked. Nonetheless the component varieties (60% Cab Sauv, 20% each Syrah & Merlot) all contribute distinct character along with lots of smoke, earth and core acidity for complexity and balance. Needs a little time to settle in my cellar. Ready to drink but with the concentration for further development. Now till ?2026. After proper treatment would expect this to score 90+ with the possibility of further improvement with time.
