Waugh Cellars Zinfandel

Decanted and consumed over several hours. An aromatic nose followed by rich ripe fruit and a very lengthy finish of mouthwatering acidity (no tartness) with just enough tannins to keep it under control. Strongly recommend a two hour decant for maximum enjoyment.

Bright purple and ruby color, translucent. Fresh aromas of raspberry, black cherry, blackberry, spring flowers with a light touch of vanilla, cedar, wet rock, mineral, forest floor that is also sweet and earthy. Beautiful nose with fair amount of complexity showing excellent Dry Creek terroir, which is quite different and unconventional comparing to average Zinfandel from other regions and other producers, in a very good way actually.
