Tasty, full bodied, smooth, oaky and drinkable. Too much French oak for me to make the wine very modern to please everyone with its roundness and softness.

Nebbiolo Prima # 63 A very complete and approachable wine, as if it had been opened a day in advance. I could find no fault with the wine, and in fact I found the overall balance to be rather impressive. I was in Piemonte during the 2008 harvest and I know the challenges involved; clearly the extra work in the vineyards before the final dose of extended sunshine paid off. My first time with this particular bottling, but hopefully not …
