Four Graces, Black Family Estate Pinot Noir, Dundee Hills

Light. Very good

Soft color and body. Berries and gentle spice on the nose. No tannins, really. Mild fruit flavors. Wonderfully balanced; perfect with mild-flavored meals. We paired with pork loin and the match was nice. Great place to visit in Oregon (Willamette). They have a darling tasting room and teaching garden where visitors can see the different clones and grapes and even taste the grapes on the vine. I highly recommend a stop and tasting the reserve labels!

I like this, but it's a little deceptive. I'm pretty sure if I were tasting this blind I'd be disposed to identify it as a Bordeaux from the nose - it's dominated by cigar box, but it also has some brambly earth scents. On the palate you get a little smoke and some cherry flavors. It has a bitter frame that comes on a little too strong on the finish. Nice.
