Dense purple, black cherry, blackberry, cardamon spice and aniseed with a hint of vanilla. Liberal use of oak coupled with strong acid backbone, give this little red #12 real strength. Tannins are quite grainy at this youthful age, probably too young for the drink now crowd. Good finish with expectation will improve with 3-5 years age. M+ acid, H alcohol, M+ body, M+ finish.

Big and ripe, but in balance. Dark juicy fruit, olives, and other savory notes. Concentrated, with velvety tannins. Drinking very well.

No. IV is my favorite Little Wine so far. Blend of 2012, 2013 and 2014. Just brilliant and drinking at peak now.

Nice! Pleasant, dark fruit, plummy aromas, mixed with noticeable but well integrated wood handling. Very soft and velvety, but intense aromas. Many other producers would be happy with that as their flagship wine. Nice to drink now, but still great life ahead

Became better with air, approachable but dark, savoury, full bodied Barossa shiraz.

Blend of 2010/2011/2012 vintages (mostly '12). This is nice, seriously nice. Took about two hours to open up. Nose has plenty of gravelly, dusty notes, with savoury spice, and dark fruit. Palate is smooth and velvety, with smooth tannins & dark, bramble fruits leading into a sustained finish of fruity spice. Great drinking.

My last bottle of this and thoroughly enjoyable. Juicy dark red fruits, plummy almost with some olives and spicy undercurrent, oak very much in the background, some gritty tannins and nice finish. More at the medium bodied end for a Shiraz, as a blend of vintages I think this is likely to be better at the younger end of its life.

Grapemates with Jon Mk.2 : Stalk, meat, tar and violets. Good acidity, there is some savoury and quite lean fruit that doesn't quite keep pace. Maybe lacking a little interest as well.

This rendition hit the market in 2015 and is a blend of declassified barrels of 2012, 2013 and 2014. Approx. 5000 bottles produced. An explosion of all kinds of purple-isciousness. Very, very intense due to its inky concentration, wonderful delineation and perfect acidity, this easily is one of the best young Syrahs I had in years... So much fun, fruit complexity, balance and personality..., it's hard to believe that this is 'only' the fruit-forward, early-drinking second label of Sami-Odi. Little …

Rich thick Barossa shiraz without being overwhelming. Lovely wine

Opened with quite a sweetness to it that I wasn't a big fan of but with some more time in the glass it started to develop more savoury and interesting flavours. Has a core of dark red fruit, beautiful texture, some hard spices, toasty oak and very fine ripe tannins, perhaps a little smokiness and cured meats. Has terrific length and very easy to drink. Unusual wine this one but very pleasurable drinking.

Lovely wine, beautiful bright and juicy fruit. My only comments would be that it is probably missing any real definitive characters which made it stand out. Very well made wine though but will be better as a young wine.

Dark purple. Plums, violets and licorice. Palate is bright and rather elegant for a Barossan shiraz, yet with full fruit intensity. Powdery tannin. Hint of savouriness to the bright purple fruit. Drinkable. Soft. Pleasant lingering purple juby flavours. Drink now or hold? Why not now- it's delicious (93 Excellent wine)

Big nose packing raspberry and rhubarb. Very elite on the palate, your thinking, no way is this an Aussie wine. Fruit is rich and clean, leaves a bite of gun powder on the close, very interesting wine.

Big, ripe and fruity but by no means jammy. You get blood plum and blackberry flavours along with some meat, tar and earth. It is plush and velvety with round sweet tannins. There's a hint of purple flower action as the wine takes on air. Really delicious and juicy.
