Amazing that this is still alive and kicking. Fresh (you'd think this was aged Chardonnay), and long, long finish.

Consumed. Don't remember, but think it wasn't as old as I expected. Used as a cooking wine for many subsequent months. It performed admirably in this role.

I agree with BestJetsFan below. Delicious and unusual in a good way. Spicy. Peppery. Pleasant, and unique. Great QPR.

At the Not Lisa Celebrate Surviving the End of the World Offline. Brought by Ted E. This was one of the most unusual white wines I have ever tasted, and its evolution from the bottles I bought and consumed a few years ago is truly remarkable. The fruit is all gone and it has been replaced by strong spice, finely ground but intense white pepper, and sharp acidity. If I had tasted this with a blindfold, I might have thought …

After 4 of these I kcan definately say I appreciate this wine much better at slighter less than cellar temp. Full body with some oak treatment, lots of tropical fruit thats excellent on the palate. After warming up much though it becomes slightly heavy for my palate and without food it would be too much for me to drink warmer. I bought @ $14 though which is about where I would put it in value beyond a curiosity buy.

You bring 'em - we'll drink 'em (Fayette Street Grille) : Served blind. Lemons, grass (perhaps lemongrass!) - quinine, bananas - lush and mouthfilling with evident alcohol that makes me think new world - WTF?... I've tasted this before - we all guess Sauv. Blanc. Turns out to be a bottle I bought years ago and gave Neal. The warmer it got - the less I liked it.

Tropical fruits with guava and aparent sweetness from the fruit but RS is probably zero. The nose has toprical fruits and some tangerine. Nice sharpness and minerality to balance the fruit. After it's open for a while, there's a bit of vanilla on the palate. The bottle says alcohol is 15.2% but it is not noticeable. None on the nose. Very nice wine with scallops in a butter and white wine sauce over couscous.

Wine Crawl 12: Verdejo, Verdelho and California Pinot Noir (San Francisco) : Aromatic nose dominated by green apple candy and honeydew. Medium acidity, but very round and almost viscous in the mouth with more tropical melon and white fruits. Super lush and full midpalate through the finish. The texture and weight here seems unwieldy and would probably would be flabby at room temperature. My 2/3, group's 2/3. Tasted blind.

Nice wine that I found much more enjoyable at colder temps where it was much sharper. Not the freak wine I was expecting at all as it was my first Scholium. Alcohol not a problem @ 15%.

Full bodied white with aromas of lychee and apricot. Good minerality with low to moderate acidity.

You either love them or you hate them. I am on the plus side of the ledger. Very light in color. Floral and tropical on the nose with a bit of banana. No sulphur, which some people have complained of. The palate has white fruit, guava, a bit of banana, acid, minerals, and, to me anyway, a bit of botrytis flavor. The finish is longer than average. Very fresh and easy to drink. The bottle says the alcohol is 15.2%. …

Lovely (surprisingly strong) floral nose when warm, SB nose when cold. This wine does what I expect from Scholium: It is complex and different and gives me something to think about as I drink it. Pairs surprisingly well with Chinese beef dish and with mild Chicken Enchiladas. This may be one of those wines that goes well with anything. I'm glad I have another bottle.

15.2% Alcohol!! Clasic Sav Blanc nose and mouth, however when the wine warmed a little a nice peach flavor came through. the peach was on the nose a little when it was cold, but really came out over time. Just surprised with the alc level.

High-end Cali Cabs with Bryan's Steaks (The Shaffer's) : Aromatic with grapefruit and hay. Zingy on the palate showing citrus notes. Acids provide crispness and edge to the fruit.

Clear pale color, apricot on the nose, very nice peach with a mineral mouth feel and long finish. Great wine.

We just love this wine! The color is a very clear and pale yellow, with an expansive nose of flowers, citrus, and sweet melon notes. The palate is very clean but with some heft and some tropical fruit notes and citrus. Nice long and clean finish that matched well with sea bass, but with enough weight to match well with shellfish or chicken.

My first ever Scholium....pale white gold in color. Fresh white peach, floral citrus, mango, slight coconut rum nose. SCREAMS Spring time! Creamy, oily in the mouth....tropical fruits, citrus acidity, beautiful florals, rain water. Reminds me a lot of Pavi Pinot Grigio....without the bone dry alcohol. Wonderful balance of flavors/sweetness/dryness/tropicals/minerals. Yes...temp is key...best out of fridge, in glass, for 15 mins. Great wine!

Lovely and crisp. Citrus peel and mango on the nose. Beautiful acidity and tropical fruit on the palate. I won't touch anymore of these until summer. Then I will devour them all.

This is 2 different wines. At refrigerater temp iy is a lovely clean crisp wine. At room temp it is an incredibly complex aromatic wine. Try it both ways.
