I have to admit I’m not sure yet how I feel about this bottle. On one hand this wine is very straight Napa cab with the plush blue and black fruit, requisite oak, and fine finish. Also the body is pretty well balanced in terms of feeling not overly weighty, viscous, or lacking acidity. On the other hand there’s some coy sweet vanilla throwing off the balance bordering on the vanilla frosting vibe. Overall I’d just let this bottle sit …

I'm not saying it's undrinkable, I'm just sayin'..... Saw an offer for the '23 and decided to drink one to see if I should buy it. The wine is very stringent with at best average fruit. May be unfair as it needs to sit for a couple of years. I have no idea how you decide what it will morph into. Didn't purchase any more.

Skurnik Petite Portfolio Tasting (Compline Restaurant, Napa CA) : The nose shows off a plush side with rich, dark red fruited tones of black currants, blueberries, crushed berries, red cherries, black raspberries, licorice notes, liqueur, and some violets. There is good depth and balance as this shows a bit more of a straightforward side. The Full bodied feel carries through the plushness of the nose with medium acidity and chewy, medium+ tannins. This is excellent, if a bit straightforward. It …

Not our favorite. I was more neutral but my wife had a strong dislike and felt it had a taste leaning towards sour.

I don't understand what the problem was with everyone else about this wine. It exploded out of the glass with a wonderful nose, a deep dark raisiny taste, and a finish I'm still tasting. At $30 this is a steal. But you have to remember my wine has been in a temperature controlled cellar for three years. It will last much longer. Luckily, there is more in the cellar.

Very disappointing for $30. A sour cherry note on the palate, no real finish and the nose is muted. Wine Exchange pawned this one off on its loyal customers.....

No taste. Tried two bottles - my wife and I and gave a bottle to a friend. Seems like a $6/glass house wine at a chain. $30 way too much. More like a $10 wine. My wife and I had a glass and poured the balance out the next morning.

I drank a bottle of this and then had a friend try a bottle. Neither of us liked it. We both thought it was the quality of a $6 glass at a low end chain restaurant.

I would call this a decent wine for the money but it's really not my style. For the price point it's an okay wine, but honestly, I'm not enthused to put the energy into describing the tasting experience. The best I can say for this wine is that it's cheap and not bad for a $30 wine.

Excellent value. Two notes: a smoky taste that intensifies on the second day; the second day, it's pretty much on its way down.

Great after some air. Soft, low structure dark fruit

Received a bottle as a gift and popped it last night. The grape jam colored bubbles reflect its youthfulness. Full bouquet of rich dark fruit, cherry. Pallet is gorgeous. Blackberry, cherry, vanilla, raspberry. Complex and compelling. Lots of activity mid palate. Acidity outweighs tannins a touch. Medium finish with no bitterness. When I searched the wine, I was surprised by the price. Drinks like a bottle twice the price.

Jaw-dropping QPR. Had this after a Cameron Hughes 525, which I enjoyed very much. But that was a flashy wine and this one is more subtle, a bit of graphite, a bit less fruity, but with a long and elegant finish. It's a little too forward to be a Rolls Royce but maybe more like a Tesla sedan. Nothing wrong with that at all.
