Deep yellow in the glass; somewhat reticent nose with ripe apple and white pepper nuances. Smooth and somewhat nondescript on the palate - to be fair, this got "lost" in the cellar, and I'm sure the winemaker didn't intend for it to be consumed at 10 years of age. That said, I've put worse things in my mouth ;^)

Hard to argue with the QPR of this screw-capped wine; light yellow-gold in the glass, with a mild note of fruit cocktail on the nose. Light-bodied, nice framing acidity, reasonable finish; almost gulpable, and a pretty decent wine for the price of admission.

Probably rated this a little higher simply because of the pairing. This went very well with rabbit. Good acid level with nice fruit. Great food wine.

Alas, alack, we wail for the long-lost Wine Expressions, from whose friendly confines this bottle was obtained some years past. They always had an eye for a decent quality in the mid-range. Golden straw color, quite a notable petrol scent with some tropical overtones, really coats the palate nicely, fresh, clean even after these years, bracing acidity.

A good GV indeed. Very good nose though the palate seemed to have dried out a little. Time to drink up.

Very decent - consistent impressions with the last bottle. This drank very much like a dry Aussie Riesling when served very chilled - lots of fresh zippy acidity and green lemon notes. More classic GV notes started emerging as it got warmer though. A bit of grassiness on the nose, some bean sprouts, green apples and white scents opening up into sweet Sarawak pineapple accents. Palate always remained very fresh, with some fleshy white fruit on the attack chased by …

Earthy , minerals , dusty and some oyster schist with oilyness. Salty acidity and finish dissipates a bit too quickly but overall a satisfying food wine.

ABB (Anything But Burg) Dinner (Kome, Keppel Club) : Very impressive for what it is. Green gold in colour. Almost new world Chardonnay like on the nose, with earthy mushrooms, dusky mineral and honeyed notes along with whiffs of white asparagus. Ripe palate had an oily texture. with beeswax, sweet white fruit, musk and a slightly slaty undertone. A bit hollow on the finish, which dissipates rather than pull away convincingly, but overall a pleasant, well-balanced wine.

From glass poured at Omakase restaurant - Riverside, CA. Light, water-like color. Smell of peaches and sugar. Very spritzy and light on the palate, a citrus theme throughout, offering a brief revelation of fruit before it's turned to light acid and CO2 on the finish. Easy drinking and paired quite well with our 2nd course appetizer. (potato gnocchi, glazed with tart applei, shrimp, etc...)

This terrific entry-level GV smells of Chinese peapod, spiced pear, yellow apple, stainless steel, and rainwater. On the palate it's lithe yet mouthfilling, as the creamy body compliments the clean acidity and slightly salty finish. And oh yes, the classic GV white pepper dances on the tongue as well. An umami character is nascent; wait a few years to bring on the mushroom notes. I should like to pair it with anything this side of a steak, although Indian food …

Subtle grassy nose. Lively citrus flavor that dances and then lingers on the tongue. A very nice value for a spring gruner.

light golden color in the glass, with some nice tropical fruit and a tiny bit of apple on the nose. On the palate this is very tart, and very dry, along with some spicy citrus flavors. Got a hint of metallic at the end.
