Final bottle of 12 - this one on top form. The case has given a lot of pleasure over the years. The note is consistent with my other recent ones, although I felt this hasn’t lost any of the freshness and intensity (in comparison with the last bottle). Definitely time to drink up. Medium yellow. Quite pronounced nose - candied lemon, lime, stone fruit (peach), honey, beeswax, white blossom, saffron. Didn’t really notice any of the distinctive kerosene I normally …

Similar to previous notes but starting to fade a little. Less intensity on nose and palate. Colour aging. The wine is clear and pale gold in colour. The nose is clean with medium intensity aromas of citrus (lemon, lime), floral (white blossom), stone fruit (peach), other (mineral, wet stones), tertiary (honey, petrol, beeswax, saffron). The wine is fully developed. The palate is medium sweet with high acidity, low alcohol, medium body, medium intensity flavours of lemon, lime, honey, petrol, white …

I was a bit disappointed by this bottle. Cork disintegrated on opening, so perhaps there was a flaw. Profile was similar to previous notes, but everything seemed less intense. There was a also a slight spritz, suggesting some kind of secondary fermentation, although this has gone on the second day. Suggest drinking up remaining bottles sooner rather then later.

Medium sweet, high acidity, low alcohol, medium (-), body, medium intensity flavours similar to the nose. Long finish. Very good quality, can drink now but will certainly develop further.

Very pale yellow, clear. Nose still fruity, citrus, apples, slight hint of petrol, but very fresh and clean. Full in the palate, but not at all heavy, less sweet than expected, nice acid backbone, quite spicy. Long finish. Very good Riesling that I think is still evolving.
