Gangbusters. I really love this barbera. While a bit internationally styled there is no arguing with the fact that this is plain delicious. Was probably the WOTN at an Italian wine tasting including Barolo, Brunello, Super Tuscan, etc. This is always a crowd pleasing wine.

Consistant with the btl I had last Spring. Really great mouth feel. Digging the tangy acids. The finish is longer than I recall. This is very good stuff and I wouldn't hesitate to rebuy in an updated vintage.

Wow, this is a seriously good barbera. Textbook black cherry and berry with a healthy dose of black pepper and nutmeg. Acid is apparent and appreciated here but it is all in balance. While this is not a "wow" wine--so few barberas are, except Ai Suma--this is super tasty and absolutely fabulous juice with a Tuesday night pasta. I have a few more btls but I think this is unlikely to improve, but will endure. Yum!

Inky dark color. Full body. Pop 'n pour. The key word with this wine is dense: dense black fruit, dense texture, dense mouth feel, but at the same time, poise and balance which make it very drinkable and food-friendly. Ready to drink.

This bottle was in better shape than the last I tried. Still a fair bit of intrusion along the cork, but the wine was good. I nice little red. Good body, medium tannins, moderate high acid. Showing at its best, drink now.

Cork failed then stuck to inside of neck of bottle. Once we got the sucker removed, it was all the wine tasted of. Had to pour down the drain.

Amazing (and rapid) progress with this wine. My first bottle on Nov-10-10 was tight and tannic. The second bottle on Mar-30-11, was much more integrated with softer tannins. Finally, this most recent and last bottle was smooth as could be. I opened this on Friday night, vacuumed it, and finished it on Sunday. Cedar and spice nose, well balanced cherry fruits, and soft tannins leading to a medium-short finish. I'd have to say drink these up over the next year …

This was a better showing than my first bottle back in November-10. Nice nose and palate of spices. Nicely balanced, enough acid to pair with food but not so much that you can't drink on it's own. Not sure I agree with a 2 hr decant, it was good to go after 30 min in my decanter.

Good plums, cherry juice, and spice on both the nose and palate. Oak tannins add a hint of vanilla as well as nice structure that doesn't mask the fruit or acidity. Really well done for a Barbera. Food friendly- tasted with some proscuitto and reggiano for the antipast and then chicken parm for the main course. Definite A- at $20 / pop.

A nice bottle. Old world for sure, baking spice, earth and some decent acidity make this very food friendly. A good qpr. Needed about two hours of air.

Plum, baking spice on the mid palette. Nice, balanced finish. Tannins are not overwhelming, but there's enough to provide some backbone.
