Bruno Lorenzon Mercurey Les Vignes d'Orge

Part of a Burgundy night with my wine group. This was the least impressive wine of the evening, and I was disappointed. This is a little younger than I would normally drink this wine, but I did want to try it. Maybe it will get better in a few years.

Early, so hard to read. Super floral, violet & cherry scents. Light bodied, delicious lingering finish. Beguiling. A real treat. Excited to see how it develops.

This is so perfumed and pretty, with plenty of flesh and fruit. Strawberries and cherries. Some earth and plenty of florals. Beautifully poised and balanced. Mineral cut and expansion. Lovely.

Delicious fruit flavours. Plenty of ripe cherry. Flesh overaying a mineral base. 50% whole bunch and just 15% new oak.
