See my previous notes; this is maybe the best bottle I've tasted, a lovely syrah nose with an elegant freshness, a sound, nearly deep colour, and an also fresh taste with a light to medium body. No faults; this is a lovely and balanced wine, and the only 'but' is that the wine misses power and concentration to gain more points.

Deep ruby but not opaque. Violets and camphor. Medium to full body, lively blackberry fruit, creosote, and moderate remaining tannin. This is a really good, quite vigorous Syrah-based Côte du Rhône.

Tasted double-blind. Honed in on the red-fruited, sanguine, charcuterie, and dusty notes on the nose. Also noticed the medium plus to high acid and light tannins on the palate. Guessed Tuscan Sangiovese-Merlot blend. Interesting wine.

Opened up quite nicely. a bit of pepper nose, nice acidity. But I think I missed its peak.

A bit of green weedy notes when 1st popped but rounded out with more meatier notes, dark berries and sage brush.

Only 86 points but satisfying the palate; pure fruit, fresh taste, round and nicely balanced. With a bit more power (in the next bottle?) it deserves an extra point. Less than € 9, so no complaints about the P/Q.

Such a pronounced bouquet of earth, driven by iron and herbs. Lighter on the palate for a Syrah but very well done. Elegant mouth feel but the bloody, iron aspects come through on the palate making this wine really interesting. And at 13% alc makes it a pleasure to taste and drink. Would also make a great food wine.

Among the most appealing, rounded, and refined 90 point wines I have tasted...ever. So much class, substance, charm, and balance here. Smells like it should, with strong notes of green peppercorns, tar, earth, herbs, and eucalyptus. Mind-bending texture, full mid palate, stalwart finish. 90-91. If scoring by preference, 93.

Nose - Very sweet berries, freshness, freshly milked milk, beetroots, may be very soft dried plum. Medium body, less dense than I expected from the nose. Medium+ accidity. At this point too harsh, must soften with time. (B-)
