Remarkable for its old world characteristics of earth, leather, and tree bark while also presenting great fruit in the currant-cherry-plum range and some exotic spices. Its tannins are definitely melted with age and well integrated. This is probably drinking at its peak right now, and my guess is it will stay there for another two or three years.

Deep dark purple in color with a nose of sweet raspberry and black berry followed by a hint of dusty earth. Rich and soft in the mouth the tannins are fine. Flavors of soft raspberry and mixed spices. 3.5/5
