Prior bottle was 14 and a half months ago and this wine has improved in that time, exceeding my expectations. It's now the equivalent of the 2017 quality wise and I might even prefer it slightly. Black cherry, earth, spices and a light cranberry note on the nose. Close to medium bodied (13.7% ABV) with darker red cherry as well as brighter red cherry upfront. Mid-body has some additional depth, but not quite as much as the 2017 from last night. Mix of mostly red cherry through the middle with some black cherry hints as well as maybe some red raspberry. Backside shows tart red cherry and acidity before the wine finishes with light spices, earth …
