Nouveau Salquenen (Mathier) Ambassadeur des Domaines Diego Mathier

(100% Pinot Noir): Noch immer junge Farbe. Die Nase ist offen, zeigt Würze, einen Mix aus roten und dunklen Beeren, Gewürze, Kräuter, kalkige Noten. Im Auftakt rund, weich, wird straffer, zeigt Konzentration und dennoch viel Frische, das Holz ist perfekt verpackt, die Säure und ein feines Tannin stützen die Frucht. Im Abgang mit sehr guter Länge und rotfruchtigen Rückaromen, die an Walderdbeeren erinnern. Aktuell auf dem Plateau, mit Reserven für 7 bis 10+ Jahre.

Delicious. Golden in the glass, clean and crystal clear, nose is on the shy side, palate is dry and pronounced, balanced and integrated, ripe fruits, apple, pear, soft citrus notes, spice note ginger, dried fruit notes starting to develop, acidity is high, full bodied and round, long lingering finish. Well made boutique wine from the Valais.

PnP. Sweet blossom and a hint of hazelnut, fresh and mouth filling, nice bitter note, medium to long finish. In a good shape now but may hold for another 3 to 5 years.

Delicious and our favorite Swiss wine of the past 2 years. Clean yellow in the glass, soft nose hint of white floral notes, balanced and well integrated, ripe acidity gives weight and a full mouthfeel, palates is ripe, pear, yellow apple, note of honey fruit sweetness and gravelly minerality. Run don’t walk to find this one, Yummy.
