Droog. Fruitige afdronk met snoep zuurtjes. Lekker bij de zelfgemaakte pizza . Licht gekoeld geserveerd. Toppie

At 14 years old, still opaque black in color with a thin edge of red around the glass rim. Aromatic red and black cherry. The sip is concentrated and somewhat dominated by acid and tannin, though with a rounded edge and no astringency. Very lively, juicy, and refreshing, with surprising integration in the swallow. Excellent with food, aging well, and will get even better with another 4 years of bottle age. Overall, a fine example of what makes Sangiovese from …

Holiday starts with this beauty: Decanted for 1,5 hours. Cherryred, without any signs of evolution. Strong, powerfull nose with lots of red ripe cherries, violets, some herbs en spices, soft vanilla etc. Soft subtle start. Soft mouthful with fresh ACC, integrated and soft TAN. The ALC is really approachable. Lots of red mature fruit on the pallet, finishing towards spices and vanilla. Good length. Well balanced, good P/Q red wine. Will buy again.

Really fresh and fruity with the so typical cherry, violets and herbal notes (Juniper). Was delicious after opening, improved on the second day and was still lovely on the third. Without any oak influence, this is made for pasta dishes of all kind (as mentioned, tomato based sauces are a match made in heaven). I really like this style!

Really nice, fresh vibrant fruit, only steel tank matured. Fantastic with pasta and tomato sauce dishes, as well as pizza I am sure.

This wine has found a wonderful expression. No formal notes but wonderful balance and nice earthiness 'n fruit are meeting at the right place. No blockbuster, instead a lovely and well-drinking wine.

Hélas cette bouteille n'a pas aussi bien vieilli que la précédente ... Beebe a déjà commenté les résultats ...

Don't know if the fruit is gone & high acidity remains or if this was just an off bottle (VA). Let sit for 1 hour in decanter and did not improve. Dang. Was looking forward to see how this has evolved.

Great bottle, even if it cost twice as much. It has depth, balance, and great nose. Just a great chianti.

Just like the last one I had back in June. This wine keeps getting better and better. Works well with and without food. Great depth, balance, and finish. I really appreciate the earthiness of this wine. Shows no sign of peaking, but it is drinking really well.

Delicious - ready to drink now as prior tasters noted - in a great place and very nice, food friendly Chianti.90-91 range.

Very dark colour. Black cherries, liqcourice and a hint of leather. Very good and balanced. Medium bodied, elegant. On day two the wine was dying. Ready to drink, but will keep for a few more years.

The difference between pop and pour and 2-hour decant is the difference between 89 and 90 -- decant for two hours, as prior notes are spot on. Fruit, floral, earth. Refreshing acidity on still-firm tannins. No sediment, which I found surprising for a 2004. Some will find it too tart for sipping without food. 89-90.

Consistent with prior notes (although I thought this wine was better than ~ 8 months ago and palate had more sour cherry / red licorice than I recalled before) Very smooth wine and excellent with food. Tannins there on the finish. Aerated into a decanter and let sit - should have a few more years. New world interpretation of Chianti but excellent, excellent QPR for under $20.00

Drinking well now, but I think this wine will improve over time. It really starts to come together after an hour or so after being opened.

Popped and poured. Dark garnet hue. Aromas of black cherry, raisin, cigar box, herbs, and a touch of melted chocolate. Medium-plus body, with excellent concentration for a Chianti. On the palate this remains a very modern-styled interpretation of Chianti, with less finesse and more power to the fruit...think bold chocolate covered cherries with a dash of red currant and flavors of fresh herbs, even a bit of spice. Medium length finish. Moderate acidity and mild tannins suggest this is drinking …

Dark garnet color. This wine evolved favorably in the glass over a couple of hours; I'll reiterate what has been said in previous notes - decant or cellar for a couple more years. Started off a little tart with the oak featuring a bit too prominently. After some air exposure, the oak became better integrated and some rich fruit flavors became evident. Floral, cherry, dried herbs, and cedar nose. Red fruit, oak, and earthy minerals on the palate. Firm tannins, …

Aerated and decanted for 1 hour. Very tight at first and too acidic at this stage to drink without food. Black cherry & leather(and maybe cedar?) on the nose. Black cherry, red plum and tobacco on the palate - medium to full mouthfeel with high acidity & nice drying tannins onthe finish. Excellent with food and for ~ $20.00 great QPR. Drinking good now with a decant (writing this after 3 hours in glass and much better) or this should …

Opened with lots of dry herb, really nice with pie cherries also of course on the dry side. Better and better with time these are starting to drink but still I would hold a year.

Faint floral nose, intensely pure flavor of cedar, tobacco, dried cherries, and especially rose pot-pourri (or attar of roses). A delightful wine.

This was excellent if you like a modern chianti. Very creamy, full bodied but still good acidity and long dark fruit finish.
