Initial high alcohol upon opening bottle. After a little swishing the alcohol dissipates enough to enjoy its jammy flavor and aroma (ripe cherry with a hint of vanilla on the finish). A second taste 1/2 hour later was even better.

Ripe fruit, oak, and vanilla. This is starting to be a guilty pleasure. I'm going to take a cold shower now.

This ripe rich fruit bomb style is growing on me. Great for sipping and with simple fare, in my case, a meat ball pizza.

Lots of fruit, (high) alcohol level somehow balances it out. The Cali ripe fruit, high alcohol Zin is growing on me. Not raisny as a lot of them are. Fun wine to go with pizza or parties.

High on the ETOH Zin here and comes off on the palate. This is a very fruit forward/jammy type experience that did settle and matched much better with food - was a spicy indian type dish… Dark fruit, pruney, blackberry, a little cassis in there. Nice but may want to let this mellow a tad for 1-2 yrs 30$ @ Deluca's. A little pricey (high'ish) in MB/CAN.

Nose of blackberry, raspberry. Palette matches, juicy Zin style, some spice in there. Tannins too once you find them, this is big all around.

- Crimsom color with medium forming legs. It's overly acidic with a light/medium body. Linear texture with a medium finish.

This overripe, high oak style seems to grow on me with pizza and spaghetti. Like I've said before, the high oak seems to balance out the overripe fruit. Acidity a tad bit on the low side but that is to be expected. Overall value is a bonus at $13 from Costco, better than what I can get as a James Gang cellar club member.

Ripe cherry and blackberry that is held in line by the typical TJ oak and accompanying vanilla. This style is growing on me, not sure if that is good or bad. Not really sure what I would eat with this other than the pizza I had tonight.

Ripe fruit bomb with smokey oak in the usual TJ style. I guess I was ready for this tonight, really hit me solid! Integrated tannins. Slight alcohol burn on the finish is easy to overlook.

Typical TJ fruit bomb with typical TJ oak, with high alcohol, somehow all it seems to work.

Ripe cherry, hint of blueberry. Sweet vanilla, oak elements, and low tannin. Balanced acidity. Sometimes comes across as overripe and a fruit bomb.

Rich cherry nose that follows through on the palate as a fruit bomb with brown sugar, spice, and a hint of blueberry. Balanced oak and vanilla, a tiny bit hot on the finish but I think the alcohol holds it together.
