Botella abierta y dejada reposar durante 2 horas. Nariz: vivo, fresco (mentolados), ceniza/ahumados, mucha fruta todavía (mora, grosella), notas características de rioja entrado en años pero con menos humedad/tierra mojada, algo de peletería. Boca: brutal, sedoso, opulento, acidez descomunal, secante. Por ponerle un pero, podría ser un pelín más largo. Descomunal disfruta, gran vino de Marqués de Riscal. Beber ya, ha pasado su mejor momento pero sigue vivo y coleando.

Veldig ungdommelig. Skikkelig struktur. Noe modning. Ekstremt ungdommelig munn. Oransje kant. Gjettet topprodusent med kvalitet. Skikkelig ungdommelig, skikkelig lang, mye syre og struktur. Kirsebær, tobakk, rødbær, kaffe. Lineær og konsentrert! 94-95 skikkelig bra! Trenger minst 5-10 år til

This tasted like a Cru Classe. Had classy and nuanced aromas of plums, violets, toffee, earth, leather, smoke, blackberries, raspberries and menthol. Had a medium to full bodied powerful yet elegant palate with excellent density, a lovely oaky fruity mesh in the middle and a long luxurious yet delineated and zingy finish. Superb!

Past its prime

Last bottle. too bad.. really lovely right now. tannins fully integrated, and in my opinion at its prime. should hold a little longer...

Blend with 60% Tempranillo. Aged for 25 months in oak. Medium garnet in colour with a tight nose showing an alluring mix of black fruit, wet autumn leaves, barnyard notes and iodine. Exuberant and bright with radiant fruit, strong yet very well integrated tannins and a long, penetrating finish.

4-5 months later and this one is showing a lot more complexity. balanced and tannins nice and intergareted and soft, its drinking very well right now and has improved nicely in the last few years. loads of personality within a profile loaded with vanilla and spices. great!

Tasted/drank blind: fantastic acidity with good concentration. Nice balance with now soft tannins. nothing special or breathtaking, but offers everything you would imagine from a producer of this level and history. with that said, i enjoyed it a lot more last year. id drink up..

What a wine! Big fleshy with good grip and long taste. A Rioja cannot get any better than this!

Had this one a over 2 years ago. its still glowing. Very typical rioja with now intergrated tannis and a slick balance. tatsy, with lovely acidity and a complex fruity offering. Outstanding offering that is 100% ready to be enjoyed now, but will hold nicely for a few more years at least.
