Appertiff to a Wine tasting 27/2 2026. A great bottle, no need to decant, just PnP.

On opening very funky, damp mossy nose. Blew off overnight, day 2 much better showing cherries, blackcurrant, potting soil, dried herbs, bramble. Bright fresh acidity holds it together through the palate, espresso notes on the finish. Well-balanced. In the realm of Burgundy this bottle represents excellent value.

022 Faiveley Mercurey La Framboisière as spring/summer teases us for a couple of days. A bit disappointing as I was hoping for more velvet in the core, but a nice easy drinking PN. Perhaps it could improve with a few more years…

Sweet scents of berry and spice, the velvety mouthfeel stands out with lush red berry, spice and mineral, deep concentration and length, melts onto the tongue, really silky and elegant, almost inky with perfume in the mouth

Dom. Faiveley er i første kategori. Dom. Faiveley Mercurey La Framboisiere 2021. Utseende: Medium ruby, klar.

Dense dark purple color of medium intensity, medium bodied, powerful and fruity nose with notes of red cherry and black fruits, complemented by a subtle hint of oak. The palate is dominated by forward red fruit flavors, with velvety tannins and a long, satisfying finish. Very satisfying Pinot.

Dark fruit, some earthy and leathery notes, quite concentrated, with plenty of structure. Early in the peak window. An impressive village Mercurey.

Clean red berries as always, with slight stony notes, perhaps holding back a bit. Quite light and airy. Fresh acidity. Medium minus concentration. Will probably reward another few years of cellaring.

Denne følelsen gjenskapes i munnen.

Pretty impressed, it's a great qpr. On the nose it's curious, it's actually smells like raspberry like the name. Had nice acidity and and fruity blast at first. After an hour in decanter, it's smoothing up, wood vanilla appeared with subtility and had a decent complexity and length. It's a nice bottle

Need some air to open up at this stage. Aired mine for two hours. Pronounced nose of blackberry, black cherry, ripe raspberry and ripe strawberry. Hot vintage. A spicy oak character appears after some time in the glass, dominating more and more to a point where it almost get’s too much. The palate is young and fresh, with high acidity and medium tannins. The fruity attack goes into a long and oaky finish. A nice wine. Very Burgundy. Will develop …

I can’t disagree with the “framboisière” in the name. Fresh raspberries with good ripeness. Still has some oak to absorb but what’s there is not heavy or drying. Nice glass of wine slightly chilled on a summer afternoon. Will be even better in a year.

Nose: Dark red fruit, earth and spices. Palate: Raspberry, black cherry, plum and spices. Structured tanins. A little closed at first, and some green notes indicating immaturity, but opened up after a little while with a voluptuous showing of black cherry. Holding the other bottles for a few years before trying again!

During the Grands Jour de Bourgogne walkabout tasting, no detailed notes. A good pair the Faiveley Mercurey Clos du Roy (92pt) and the Framboisiere (93pt), both with good aromatic depth around dark and red cherry, plum, spices and earthy elements, solid structure with the Framboisiere having more complexity in this tasting.

Medium plus nose is pretty, nice complexity, floral tones, light red fruits, fresh spice. Palate is juicy, tasty up front fruit, very modern or New World in fruit style. Structure shows more Old World with proper acid, light grip.

Burgund '21 + moden vin (Centropa, Oslo, Norway) : Rubinrød farge, klar.

Opens up with fragrance of raspberries and Pinot funk, very earthy. As the funk blows off, there’s very pure and precise light red garden fruit notes in a lean to medium bodied frame. Delicious and easy flowing, a really joyful wine and yet serious enough to cellar for at least 5 years.

What a beauty at such a young age!. Although the price of this wine has exploded in the last two years, it is still a bargain in today's Burgundy market. Clear light ruby, young.
