Villa S. Anna Vino Nobile di Montepulciano

Definitely much better than the previous bottles, but still seems to need time for all pieces to come together. No rating yet.

Little bit husky and powerful. Animals and little dwarves.

A good wine in its own right, but pales in comparison to the 2013. There is something that keeps it from being as expressive as I would expect. It doesn't appear to be corked to either of us so it is probably just the wine. I may try another bottle just to be sure, but this does seem a bit of a miss by the standards of this consistently excellent wine and producer. However, if I was served it blind, …

Not much nose but a faint distracting smell, cellar? or other flaw? awkward phase? Hope the other bottles are much better (previous bottle was also not like expected). Will wait quite a while before opening another one.
