The body has fleshed out a bit on this as compared to earlier bottles (it's still fairly thin), but the overpowering oak (which is tannic and somewhat green) remains and the fruit seems to be fading fast. I think the oak was just out of proportion to begin with and the fruit will never shine as a result. I have 1 left and I'll probably drink it fairly soon. Not great QPR on these IMO.

Now in a good spot. Funny how little 14 was appreciated. A bit coarse tannins. But this gives the wine character. Liked it a lot. Balanced. Acidity well integrated. Very good second wine.

very nice bottle. perhaps because it is summer time and I let it breathe in the fridge for a couple of hours so that we could serve it cooler, it took longer to open up. 2 hours in the fridge plus an hour at room temperature and it really came into its own. Also interesting, it is actually the fruit that comes forward after it breathes - it is not particularly tannic at the open so much as it is …

2nd of 7. This has gotten so much better since my last bottle in October 2021. 14% abv - it's nicely balanced. The oak has integrated quite a bit (still could use more time in that respect). The nose is pleasant. The palate is a bit light, but that is somewhat to be expected from a 2nd wine. The fruit is quite pretty. Tannins seem light. Finish is pretty quick. This is actually in a nice spot and should drink …

Lots of perfume! Soft fruit and soft tannins made this a very nice bottle. It will be very interesting to see how this one ages.

First impression: too much oak. Fruit is decent though. Needs time. This bottle was much better on day 2 after lots of air. 88 on day 1, 91 or so on day 2.

Took about 3 hrs to really open up. Ruby color in the glass. Medium body. Cherry on the nose, with a subtle hint of oak and very subtle earth smell. On the palate, tart cherry, cranberry, strawberry, cassis, vanilla, oak, outstanding secondary notes after being opened for several hours of chocolate, smoke, truffle. Very well balanced with a long finish. At the roughly $80 price point for this quality Bordeaux from Pomerol it is a very good buy and a …
