Port Pod: Old Colheitas (Sammamish, Washington) : Light amber in color. Slightly cloudy. Vanilla cream on the nose with some light orange spice. Well-balanced acidity and sugar. Just a slight vegetative note. There is an interesting lemon note on the long finish.

Sammamish Port Club - August 2019 (Sammamish, Washington) : Slightly cloudy, brown-orange in color. Vegetal/citrus notes with some acetone. Unctuous mouthfeel. Cola, chocolate on the finish with a touch of bitterness.

Nice nose. A little salty and medicinal. Good precision and life. Zesty. Finish is clean and rich - caramel liquid. Slight palm sugar. Fun.

2015 Port Harvest Tour; 9/26/2015-10/3/2015 (Portugal) : Bottled 2015. Orange-amber in color. Cigar box and orange spice on the nose. Very compact, intense concentration of flavor on the palate. Crazy complex nuts and orange spice, caramel, and a touch of herbs. Every sip uncovers some new component of the wine. Extremely long finish. This colheita will just get better and better.

Light ruby to purple red. A bit dusty appearance. Aromas of prunes, coffee, forest floor and something earthy. Fruity, with relatively coarse tannins. Dry finish.

A Colheita bottled 2012, so should be comparable to 20 year Tawnies. Light brick colour. Very open on the nose, figs, some liquorice notes, almond paste. Gives a balanced impression with enough concentration to counterbalance the sugar. Quite delicious aromas of figs, almond paste with a fair length that finishes with a slight alcohol impression. Overall, drinking very well, and quality above most other port houses 20 y Tawnies, as a result more value for money! On the 20-scale, as …

Highlight is the length, which is comparable to the Andresen 20 yr. The mid-palate isnt as rich though, and the flavors not as complex. Priced about right. Certainly better than your average 10 Year Tawny, but not quite to the level of your typical 20 Year.

A bit unclear, light red color. Aromas of liquorice, raisins and dried figs. Good intensity, but noticable alcohol and wood.

Beautiful translucent deep reddish amber color. Light bodied for a port, with strawberry jam, toffee, and black tea on the nose and palate. Great length. Excellent, and excellent QPR.
