The wine shows a torrent of ripe, well-extracted (perhaps over extracted?) fruit on the palate and a distinctively inky texture. Although the stated composition of the wine is 65% sangiovese, 15% sagrantino, 15% merlot, and 5% cabernet sauvignon, I wouldn't be surprised if the percentage of merlot and cabernet were significantly higher.
