Gorgeous wine. Vibrant nose, fresh plum, cherries, pomegranate, with hints of raising and liquorice near the end. The palette is light, with mild tannins matched by soft acidity. Dry, hint of charcuterie, pink peppercorns, and blueberry. A stunning wine.

The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like strawberry, cranberry, raspberry and mushroom. It tastes like strawberry and red currant. The body is light/medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Started off nicely as it was pretty cold. But then it warmed up and it all went downhill from there. Metallic aftertaste, not pleasant. Did not care for it.

Had with the 2006 vintage of this and a 2006 Arnoux bourgogne - both superior. This was first in the line-up and even then was a little too light of body. Might have been better when younger and fresher, this was a bit diminished in concentration and flavours, though the aromas were still very nice, cherry and hibiscus. Very decent QPR all the same.

One of the highest rqp's we've ever had at $11.00. While it may be light and straightforward (cherry all the way--nose, mid-palate, finish), what a delightful experience and beautiful example of the wine maker's craft. The venerable Bichot house got this basic Burgundy completely right.

Very thin on day one. Day two it gained weight, and the sour cherries were much more expressive. short finish. Basic pinot.

Liked the 2006, first try with the 07. Immediately impressed with the nose...sappy and rich, with some baking spice aromas thrown in. Might have guessed California blind. Tart cranberry flavors on the palate, which shows some structure that could use some time to soften. At the end of the day, this is a $10 pinot that is good. A rare beast indeed.

Clear pale ruby red. The nose expresses sour cherries and violet. Refreshing acidity and fine tannins complement the fruiteness. This is a rather simple uni-layered everyday wine, to be enjoyed more for its refreshing character than for the way it tastes.
