Round and generous as befits a Merlot dominated (c.70%) wine in a warm vintage showing medium++ body, round berry fruit, cedar touches, nice acid balance and ripe tannins providing support. Good.

2020 vintage

Pop nd poor. Fully mature, typical cab. Full Savignon nose of tertiary aromal. Nice backbone, still very nice in place. Dark berries, vanilla, wood, acidity: very well balanced. Goes perfectly with grilled flank, still enough power. Kinda of short. Nothing big, but really matured nicely. Great to drink soon, wont get better, still 11 bottles and grill season just started, yeah.

Complex and concentrated nose of dark cherry, sweet oak, and cocao. Medium to full bodied with flavors of red fruit and a touch of herbs. Very dry and tannic finish. After a few hours some more flavors open up. ($18)

What attracted me initially was that it was a kosher wine. My host was an orthodox Jew. This is not a Mevushal kosher wine i.e. one that has modified by flash heating. I thought the fruit and balance was much better than many of the kosher wines that Royal Wine seems to have an import monopoly over.

PNP, medium bodied, some decent red fruit flavors with cassis and tosted oak, fair amount of acidity an tannins to round a decent wine. Not overly powerful but better than I expected.

Now with a mature rim, nice looking wine/ Full body/ Very intense dry cassis nose, cedar and warm stones/ Classic long and pure/ firm tannin/ super wine, great QPR. A triumph for 2002/ 13%/ This was my last bottle of the 2002 , very sad
