Red fruited perfectly balanced with fine grit tannin. This one still has a huge amount of life left on it. This was actually an impulse open at the locker and it didn't disappoint vs other bottles that were about 3x the price. I am really quite impressed with this wine by Tadeo Borchardt and have come to know his Camino wines but this one was apparently mostly his baby as well. Great wine in a very nice space right now.

Decanted and enjoyed over 4 hours. Opened up to reveal nicely integrated fruit and tannin balalce. Some tones of leather and licorice. Smooth finish with soften tannics. Medium body. OK QPR.

Drank over 3 days. Started out closed and uninteresting. By day 3, it was great. Luscious dark berry and cocoa flavors. Good structure and mellow tannins.

Still very tight and one-dimensional, but I think patience will be rewarded with this wine. Hold at least two more years.

Popped and poured while still too cold from the wine fridge. Nose of hard edged dark fruit. Fruit is wound up fairly tight. Maybe in need of more time? Gum gripping tannins. Very pure tasting. This might be more of a traditional Napa Valley Cab. Med. body, fairly high acid, low oak but with some backbone. Not too complex, kind of one dimensional.

Very interesting and complex smell. This is right in the pocket right now. Bruce says: this comes from his vineyard. His valley is two valleys over from napa valley. He is basically in between st. helena and rutherford. The vineyards start at 400 feet and rise to 1100 feet. They are a due southern exposure. They are now all organically farmed. So they have 25 acres of vines split between cab and merlot.

i am not the biggest merlot fan but this wine was quite nice. colour was dark with black currants on the nose. it was a bit tight when it was first opened but after an hr was better.

A little dusty with some spice and soy sauce like quality. Nice finish.

From a bottle opened the day before: Very dark red. Expressive, curious combination of black olive and chocolate aromas. Nicely dry but quite rounded. Interesting and tasty.
