Palacios Remondo, Vendimia, Rioja

Bright, young, fresh, tasty, cherry cherry cherry were some of the descriptors used around the table. Medium bodied, noticable lack of oak. Nothing earthy about this bottle - its all about the fruit. A very nice solid wine that's currently drinking well.

Lovely Rioja with great balance of Tempranillo and Grenache. Not as oaky as many Riojas. Nice fruit balance

Rather light in terms of colour and intensity, quite a lot of spice, red berries like raspberry, hint of cherry, medium finish

Great QPR

Pop and pour, bright color in the glass Light nose, not much there Thin on the palate at first, but long and not overly fruity Good acidity, smooth finish, more French style than a typical Rioja Solid QPR, would buy again

50/50 grenache and Tempranillo...I've always enjoyed mixing in some grenache with Tempranillo...I feel they harmonize and bring out each other's best qualities. Juicy with med + acidity...well integrated mild oak and some white pepper to balance it out. More elegant than intense even with 14.3% alcohol. Well done and a bargain at 14$ at TW.

Outstanding value.

Maroonish and very concentrated color. Toasted oak nose with tons of vanilla with some nice fruit hidden behind it all. Strong on the palate with big tannins making it a bold and rich offering. On the palate the oak shows more than the fruit and while it might age with time, I almost feel as though this wines fruit will lose out to the oak in the long run. alt-3.5 c5n11t14o7=87
