Jean Boisselier Coteaux Bourguignons Vieilles Vignes

This bottle was given to me as a gift. I’m unfamiliar with the producer, but I’ve found high-quality/low-cost wines from Côteaux Bourguignons in the past. So I was quite eager to give this a try. It proved a simple, well-made Pinot, medium- to light-bodied, fruit forward for sure, great on the nose, not long on the palate, won’t stand up to anything but mildly flavored food. Quite aromatic in the glass with cherry, blackberry, and leather aromas. Light-bodied wine with medium acidity and mild tannins. A medium to mild acidity lingers for a moderately long finish. This is a very smooth wine.
