More development to come but this is beginning to drink very nicely.

91-92 dark fruits, slight wood spice/wood notes with a pop of acidity. Better in 3-5 years.

Closed or Morey? I reluctantly opened this bottle in a pinch and regretted it instantly. I'm a huge Lignier fan but this is another recent meh village showing for me. The rating is what the potential could be rather than my experience. It did open and unfurl throughout dinner but I'd opt to hold them for another 2-3 years. I have yet to see any special magic in the 2015 vintage but they just may not be ready.

maybe just at an awkward phase, my 4/20 note referenced the prior note (from 1/20) and this time I agree more with the 4/19 note... this wine (like many MSD's I've had, but unlike some GC vineyards in the appellation - like Bonnes Mares, Clos St. Denis, and Clos de Tart), was pretty darn rustic, with bold flavor but not enough fruit to stand up to the earth and smoke, and lots of structure... based on this tasting I'm not …

really very nice, could have given in a 92, the lasts reviewer said it very well... nice body, great dark red fruit, nice acidity, and a slight touch of spice (or earth?), more on the friendly side than I usually get from MSD

Dense and juicy with a lick of vanilla oak alongside cassis and dark raspberry fruit. Powerful nose and a good finish. Really punches above its weight.

A dense, dark and brooding number. It has good ripeness and flesh and will be far more expressive with plenty of cellaring time. There’s big underlying structure.

During a Domaine tasting, only brief impressions. Very positive surprise for a village level. Characterful nose of dark fruit, musk, spice, some gamey notes. Solid volume on the palate, good freshness. 92-93

The Trilogie hails from the lieu-dits of Chenevery, Clos Solon and Porroux, giving a nice composite picture of Morey, and hails from old Pinot Fin vines which yielded 26 hl/ha in 2015. Beautiful notes of plums, black cherry and spice introduce a full-bodied, richly structured wine with great depth and persistence and an underpinning of fresh acids. You really sense the creamy concentration from the old vines here.
