So alcoholic! But very nice. Aromas of red currant and ripe red fruits with bramble and light spice. Clear, opaque ruby-garnet in color. Mouthfilling, spicy flavors of fresh red fruit and sage with a long finish. Might do well in fair?

Still tasting good! This one is 100% cabernet, versus the "Fiesta Island" has 17% merlot blended in. No "cognac" aroma or flavor in this cabernet, tastes and smells like wine. Aromas of roasted ripe red fruit, toast, and hint of spice; a "warm" aroma. Color still good - ruby-garnet in color. Good balanced fruits with light spice and long finish. This wine has really lasted well!

Yuck. "Sugary nail polish" and "cough drop". This one is gone.

A bit bitey on first pouring. Overall a bit tart, but good fruit and oak, good with food. Lots of sediment, might want to pour through screen.

Dumped to make room in the cellar. This wine has not tasted good for too long.

Hint of cedar, but tasted after other wines. Overall nice fruit and good oak.

Big, luscious aromas of ruby red fruits, currant, cranberry, and boysenberry with hint of eucalyptus. Very clear ruby-garnet in color. Nice undertones of oak with flavors of vanilla, cedar, spice, blackberry and plums. Nicely balanced, like silk on the tongue. Yum!

I will probably never really be happy with this wine, but hopefully it will pair well with homemade brie in a chicken-mushroom pasta. Still very sweet with loads of vanilla-laden oakiness. Hot and out of balance, but some people seem to like it. Not the kind of winemaking I want to do in the future.

I'm mostly disappointed with this wine. But, perhaps there is some hope. Poured through Vinturi, really mellowed out the flaws of this wine. Aromas like vanilla ice cream with edge of lemon. Still very sweet on the tongue, but not so sharp. Oak is becoming prominent. Might as well give it time, as it's not great now, although not terrible either.

Very sweet aromas, not unlike a sherry. Wine is not clear, though it was not clear when bottled. Flavors of strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and good oak, but still a bit sweet. This wine is still quite young, so I have hope for it, but I'm not very happy with it at the moment.

Still too young to rate. Opened at friends' house, decanted about 1/2 hour. A little cloudy, not completely clear. Lots of spice and oak on the nose. Very fruit-forward with light sweetness and spice, very hot. Definitely needs a minimum of another year, 2-5 would not hurt.

Approximately 3 months post bottling. Decanted a little over an hour. Mostly clear, some opaqueness; was not completely clear at bottling, but did not filter. Dark ruby-garnet in color. Strong, rich fruit-forward nose with candied cherry and loads of oak. Rich flavors of blackberry, brambles, raspberry, and spice. Definitely still very, very young, but has great promise.
