I really enjoyed this inexpensive wine. Still quite tannic, but certainly drinkable.

Brick red; soft nose of herbs and tobacco; more fruit on the palate, and a bit hot; tannins there but gone quickly, along with the finish. I had expected more... disappointed here. Not bad, but below expectations.

Drinks very good now and maybe even better in 2 - 3 years, better example of the $10 Chilenean cabs. Green pepper on the mid palate, and some tannins that still could soften a bit. Good long finish. Not a great wine, but good value at this price point.

Geurend naar bramen en munt. In de smaak vooral bramen, donker fruit en kruiden. Ook flink wat eikenhout, stevige tannines in de middellange afdronk.

Black / purple color. Plum, green pepper and herbs on the nose and palate - nice acidity & good with food (pizza). For under $10.00, good QPR and would buy again - much better than a CA wine at the same price but not as good as some of the Spanish wines at this price point as another taster noted. 86-88.

Label: Superb quality and craftsmanship are the hallmarks of Santa Rita, one of Chile's most admired and innovative wine estates. The dynamic Reserva series has a well structured, fruity and youthful style, perfect for any occasion. Our estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Alto Jahuel located in Chile's famous Maipo Valley, one of the finest wine producing regions in the world. The result is an expressive, balanced and persistent wine. It's aromas recall ripe, black fruit, plums and fine herbs, …

Had at a restaurant in Medellin, Colombia. A very fruity wine with tons of cassis on the nose and a bit of licorice coming through. Also lots of cassis on the palate and lots of tannins. A very fruit forward wine, but with the correct aromas and tastes for a Cab Sauv (for me). Went very well with a medium rare steak.

Nice nose of red fruit and green peppers. Soft tannins, juicy on the palate and integrated oak. Good weekday cab.

Pleasant herby nose. A bit heavy on the green vegetables and herbs on the palate but heavy fakish black currants are there too. A heavy handed effort but maybe just maybe woth the 8.00 at Costco. Frankly the sub $10 Spanish wines drink better. Not a repeat buy for me.

South American Blind Tasting (Simon's House) : Decent cab for the price. Interesting green streak through the mid palate. A little boring.

Deep purple color carrying depth almost to the edge on evaluation. Very slight orange tinge on the edges as the glass is tilted to better see the color gradients. Very pleasing in the nose with ripe blackberries, vanilla, nice spicy aromas. The intensity of the aroma is moderate yet the structure of the aroma is typical of a well balanced Cabernet Sauvignon. There are hints of oak in the nose as you might expect of this wine, giving evidence of …

Agree with wineward on the green pepper on the nose and the black currant too. Very good for the price - a tad rough and might improve with a year cellaring.

opened and tasted. Green pepper and olive on the nose. Dark, dense black currant, tar and tobacco flavors. Long finish turns a little green, but there is plenty of heft for some cellaring. Very good.

Opened and tasted. Black pepper is huge on the nose with a background of blackberries. Bright upfront fruit with blackberry progresses to more cedar and smokey meat. Moderate tannins and a slightly bitter finish. An interesting wine with good complexity at this price point, but some flaws.

A decent bottle for week day consumption, with no guilt if most of it goes down the drain.

Lush and grapey. It could have a bit more acid and a little less oak, but at $8 per, this delivers nicely.

Nice wine, good fruit, smoky notes, underlying tannins, I look forward to taking more detailed notes on my next bottle.
