Dark fruit, earth, pepper with a nice finish. As another commented, has a funk on opening and then opens nicely with some time.

This is more Cab Franc-y than the 2020, which I praised for its youthful exuberance. Darker flavors here, with black cherry, blackberry, and clay. Refined tannins and good structure. Bit of cedar on the finish. Still more vivacious than other Loire Cab Francs, to its credit.

Consistent with notes 20 months ago. Nice and stinky and funky on opening, it ultimately opens up into a candied, juicy, drinkable quaffer. Perfect with mixed grill leftovers. Drink 2023-2028. Technical score: 90. Enjoyment score: 92.

Varm, lite örtig doft med grön paprika och lagård. Frukten drar åt mörka bär och plommon. Kryddig, sandelträ och kanel. Mjuk i munnen, med snälla tanniner, bra syra och fin längd.

Floral nose of lavender, cherry oak, forest floor. Good sweet dark cherries mixed with green pepper and mushrooms on the palate. Finish is short and puckery. Drink 2021-2028

Deep purple-crimson, Typical 'green' cabernet franc notes of bellpepper, cooked beans, cedar and graphite. Dry, high acidity and tannin, medium alcohol @13.5% abv, medium body. Cherry and red berries on the palate. Good length with a rustic finish.

dark and youthful, scents of freshly chopped peppers and ripe blueberries, super fresh and juicy, with a slight chill it presents a refreshing and lifted inkiness, the midpalate showing blackberries and black cherries, finishes with some herbs and earth, supple and generous, pure enjoyment

Light purple color. Lovely aromas of plums, sweet black cherries, with mesquite, tar, black pepper and sage. Fresh acidity focuses the wine from start to finish, with silky, light-grippy tannins. Juicy red and black cherry fruit mixes with earth, soy, tar, grilled bell peppers. Suave, dark, yet accessible, great for early-drinking, but sporting complexity, too.

Very vegetal, but not pleasant, with metallic notes on the finish. Nose was awkward at best. Perhaps just at it last breath.

Not as good as last bottle. Very cab franc on the nose with bell pepper, tobacco and red fruits. A little chocolate with air, med body, this bottle was "shy" compared to last one, Modest raspberry and cassis leaf with a refreshing touch of green on the palate.

Wow! My first Loire cab franc and this was great. Distinct tabasco sauce on the nose with some V8 juice as well. Very dark on the pallate with little fruit, but heavy chocolate and spice. Good acicity. Will definately explore this area more.

This has a strong green vegetable, sort of dill or bell pepper profile that I strongly dislike. I get that sometimes as anundercurrent in some cab francs and it detracts; here it is overwhelming, and combined with sharp acidity made this almost undrinkable.

Awesome value. Nose is very cab franc with a lot of tobacco and leaves but also nice dark fruit. On the mouth, it is silky, light body, nice dark fruits, hint of chocolate and again some tobacco and green veggie. Great acidity and some fine tannins. Finish is short, preventing it from being a great wine but overall a very nice and enjoyable wine.

Oh yeah baby. This Trinch is an awesome value. Juicy blackberry fruit accompanied by major tobacco and vegetal components. Racy acidity and a super dry finish. Definitely a food wine but if you're a fan of the style can be a great everyday drinker with its low alcohol content. On the second night, the nose brought an insane pickle juice aroma.

heavy perfume upon opening. Let's remember, this cab franc is in the french style. Very acceptable value for the price. As it opened up the perfume subsided leaving a comfortable tannic result. Also, tried with a creamy spanish cheese, which resulted in a pleasurable accompaniment.

Deep, vibrant purple color. There's some black fruit on the nose but it's masked by the acidity. Camphor is a good smell analogy, it's like that but faintly and just barely. This wine is acidic. The black fruit is there but it's a little green with some faintly vegetal flavors as well. This needs food, oily or greasy, to give the acidity something to work on. Plastic cork 12% alch. I like it. Under 90 points because it ain't the …

The flavor is dominated by black cherry, followed by green olive. And wow this is tight — it really took 72 hours after opening for this to loosen up. Organically grown grapes.

Deep, deep color. Leather and "Ben Gay" on the nose. Flavor is complex; leather, wood, medicinal, big fruit. Very long finish, mostly leather.

Dark purple. Moist grotto of ferns somehow mixed up with dried mediterneum herbs, green pepper notes, fragrant fragrant fragrant. Medium bodied, great perfume in the mouth, forest floor, mushrooms, refined tannins, mild acidity. Fresh long finish buffered by the tannins more than the acidity to the end. This is a great, earthy, complex wine for the price.

This bottle showed some dried leaves and herbal notes and initially was quite lean. It put on a bit of flesh with air, and some red berry fruit developed. Some wet cement like minerals. A little angular and taut, nice with food. If you want gobs, look elsewhere.

A great Trinch! Maybe slightly bigger bodied than last years, but fans of the bark and twig and other forest flavors won't be disapointed. Pretty solid core of berry like fruit emerged over the first hour of air also. 12%abv, and a plastic cork for those keeping score of these things.
