I didn't think this would stand up to 6 years of aging, but it did it very nicely. The fruit is still bright, tannins are well integrated and the finish is long and smooth. The complexity was never there to be a great wine, but this really good.

Nice nose and drinking very well for the price. Dark cherry vanilla and leather.

Dracked this after drinking the 2005, more substance to the nose and palate. Smoother and more body that is very drinkable.

Drank over 3 nights with little degradation each night. It took about 2 hr to open up fully. It was obnoxiously thin and first. By the end of the first night, it had relaxed enough to yield good weight and typical Cab character. It was extracted enough to remind me of the Steve Hoff Aussie Cab that I had a few days previous, but the BG wasn't nearly as tiring to drink. There was enough acid present to keep the …

Wow, have to say I'm shocked by the quality of this wine. Smooth smoky tannins and fresh raspberries. Dark chocolate. Everything I could ask for from a $15 Cabernet... from Washington. There is some slight bitterness on the finish, but that is all that is keeping this from being Outstanding. Love it and will look for more.

A little closed right out of the bottle - decant and room temp improved markedly. This appears to need some cellar time yet. Nice level of fruit, forward but not excessive. My biggest problem was the flavor progression - decent finish but ended for me on a tar note. Decent for $15.

Returned from my trip from Washington after sampling this wine and found it locally. This is a great Washington Cab for the price not so bold like California Cabs are, softer and smoother with lots of fruits and sweet tannins. Rated Gold by RIWC, Chron and Double Platinum by Wine Press Northwest. I will most likely pick up several more bottles to hold on to for the next few years to see how they age.

I've become converted to Barnard Griffin's wines as an excellent QPR source. This wine is fairly simple. But it offers lovely dark fruits with a touch of mocha. Extremely smooth, with light tannins that fade over an hour or so. This isn't as good as the merlot, but it's still a fantastic everday qauffing wine whose cleanness can be envied by wines that cost twice as much. I give it 87, but I can see some people really digging this …

Great QPR Washington Cabernet Sauvignon from a great vintage 2005. Great fruit, smooth sweet tannins.
