Deep yellow; subtle, smoky edge; refreshing, with a richness too, Semillon led, lovely weight; vibrant finish. Some time in hand but why wait?

NobleRottersSydney - Graeme's Mount Mary (Fix, St James, Sydney) : {diam, 12.6%} Still a surprisingly light yellow/green colour. Slightly developing nose of grass and straw; oak is very subtle here; barely a seasoning. No pungent kiwi-like aromas either. The palate offers a mixture of straw and seashell flavours, fine sandalwood oak, integrated acid and generally subtle flavours. A bit heftier than light/medium in weight, with medium acidity and an even palate with a medium length finish. Still has plenty of …

Beautifully smooth, elegant and delicate. A mix of subtle tropical fruit aromas overlaid with a sheen of polished oak. On the palate, acidity is minimal - perhaps faded with age - which for me makes it just a touch less impressive than it nearly is. Sauvignon Blanc 8%, Semillon 40%, Muscadelle 12% (though interestingly the SB has faded into the background.) 12.6%, cork.

Gentle, almost creamy texture, flavours of honey, lemon curd, toasted bread. Soft but sufficiently crisp finish. Has definitely softened a lot with passing of time but still a very pleasant drink, no sign of heavy developed flavours, just a delicate version of its typical youthful self with some of the characters associated with a …
