Golden yellow. Honeyed with a bit of lemon sherbet. Sparkle still there but perhaps fading. Delicious but drink in the next few years

Lemon tinged with lime, the nose is a mix of white flowers, honied lanolin, lemon sherbet, cheese rind , and perfumed quince. There is still plenty of acidity, with flavours of lime and lemon, leading into that characteristic and idiosyncratic finish of buttered toast. This wine is maybe a little underpowered , but has several years life ahead of it.

30 minutes to open up. Complex, long length and good sparkle. Enjoyed it immensely

There's still life in this, lemon sherbet and sparkle. Love this wine and love its alcohol level, can smash a celebratory bottle on a weeknight with the wif and function on all faculties the next day. Good stuff.

This bottle in better nick than previous one. Best drunk soon though.

Light lemon colour. Lanolin, beeswax nose. Light lemon zest, lanolin flavours along with a touch of nuttiness and toast. Rounded, full and smooth. Drinking beautifully. Shame it was my last bottle.

Golden straw colour. Waxy, lanolin nose with a bit of toast. Mature flavour - toasty, rich and full. Still fresh with a bit of lemon zest. Enjoyable but towards the end of life.

Almost certainly past its prime but still drinkable - none of the toastiness you might expect but a reasonably enjoyable mouthful with crisp minerality; a little lemon and initially struck match. Drink up as this one doesn't seem made for the distance.

Rather bland. On the downslope, fading?

Light yellow. Dominant flavour of lemons, wax, with honey and toast coming through on the finish. Quite subtle and light at only 10% alc, still with plenty of interest.

Crisp, refreshing zip, toasty elements starting to show. Well balanced, with plenty of life ahead. Good length.

Needed to open up. Zest of lemon on the palate. Not bad at all.

Appearance of lime cordial. Very light, refreshing, with a longish lemon finish.

Quite a good and complex wine, considering it's a supermarket brand. Tropical fruits, lemons and a bit of yeasty bread. Rich texture and decent acidity.

Possibly a bit of a dud bottle as in the glass was met with a light fizz When left to breath a bit the fizz faded away Quite sharp, with lanolin and a hint of honey but faded to watery nothingness Bit of a disappointment

Possibly too cold initially, quite tight and closed with a sour taste, almost petillant. As it warmed/opened, richer toast, honey, lemon curd flavours emerged and it became much more enjoyable.

Warm honey, toast and butter, rich lime and citrus, slight sour grapefruit note on the finish.

Giving this an artificially high rating to counter the crazy low scores out there! Am I allowed to do this? An incredibly complex wine for the price. Aged beautifully with refined toasted apple and honey coming through. Love this.

There's a reason Semillon is traditionally a blending grape. This tastes, well, yellow. Like pee. Vague chardonnay-like watery taste. Some malic acidity. Poor. On the upside it had acidity enough to cut through the mackerel at dinner, but for flavours of it's own worth experiencing forget it.

Light gold colour. Waxy, lanolin nose with a touch of light lemon and vinyl. Lovely taste - rounded, zesty lemon and lanolin with nice balance. Enjoyable wine.

Good but not sure the waxy, lanolin & rubber aromas are to my taste. But I did enjoy it. It reminded me of an Aussie dessert semillon but less sweet, which seems obvious but its not like anything else (perhaps a touch of riesling too). Thinking it might be a bit reductive (its a screwcap), tried the copper penny trick and now much better. The rubber has receded and lemon sherbet is now shining through.

Pale lemon colour. Lanolin and slight butter / toastiness on nose. Slight zestiness in mouth but rich and round. Lemon, a bit of butter with a touch of acid but smooth and long. Very enjoyable.

Lemon yellow with a green hue. Vibrant, zingy lemon aromas with the merest hint of wholemeal toast. Ripe yet well balanced with lots of youthful lemon and lime and a lovely yeasty, brioche note on the finish. Good QPR.
