Casa Maschito Aglianico del Vulture La Bottaia

Decanted for 1.5 hours. Dark garnet color. Very rustic and earthy on the nose with crushed flowers, some earthy, rocky, soil aromas along with some cherry and plum notes. More of the same on the palate with definite sour cherry and plum flavors along with some savory herbs and spices and more earthy undertones. Medium acid and tannin. Enjoyable finish. Great food wine.
