Super and under-rated wine.

CNY Sale Tasting (Atout) : multi-vintage blend, base 2021, dosage 4g/l, lime, slight savoury, green fruits on the palate, med finish.

Tasting 3 main grape variety from Champagne (Kura) : 50% 2021, 50% reserve, disgorged autumn 2024, dosage 3g/l, lot 25-01-611, yellowish in colour with slight green hue, lemon, whiff of lime, asparagus, slight honey notes, lean on the palate, high acid, precise finish. A classic BdB probably requiring more time

A classy and classic BdB. Medium lemon in color. Lots of toasty brioche aromas and yellow apples. Refreshing, creamy mousse. Medium lemony finish. Ideal aperitif.

Drunk as aperitif at a family gathering. Very nice showing. Beautiful BdB, which showed vibrant and with crystalline clarity. A touch of a toasty note on the nose added interest and depth.

Disgorged: Autumn 2022. Dosage: 3g/l Very toasty nose, roasted nuts and pain grille. Rich and bold, but very dry owning to the low dosage. Power and elegance, but needs more fruit for my taste. 91

Big blind tasting; 9/27/2025-10/1/2025 (Montreal) : Tasted blind. Magnum. 2023 disgorgement. Pale color. Very vinous Champagne. Could've guessed Lilbert just off that (but I didn't). Lemon zest, brioche, very mineral driven, bruised orchard fruits, tons of tropical fruits on the palate and mixed roasted nuts. I knew this was grower Champagne but thought it mightve had some meunier because of the tropical fruits. I was surprised and not surprised that it was Lilbert-Fils. Great stuff

Shared courtesy of DS. Pours a medium to light golden hue with a heavy mousse and lots of tiny bubbles streaming from the epicure. Toasty nose with layers of soft apple and pear mingling with yeasty nuances of crusty sourdough, soft anise, lemon peel and a whiff of chamomile tea. Focused palate that follows the nose with persistent effervescence and layered structure throughout and just a bit of juicy acidity lingering on the tongue calling you back for another sip. …

Lovely again with 민어회 at Hwaesun in Sinpo-dong.

Pretty wine. Brioche and green apple in a winy package 99k won at vinvinvin in 송도. 50-50 2016 and reserve, 3g/l, 9/19 disgorgement.

Another good showing from Lilbert. Some lemon zest, a lot of toast, brioche, almonds, bruised apple. Generous mousse. Its their entry level cuvée but its still really enjoyable and does the job. I appreciate Lilbert-Fils because they are more of a Burgundy drinkers Champagne.

Always a very reliable, quality BdB. Balanced, with nice sweet fruit, good depth from the high proportion of reserve wines, nice bready/toasty notes and fine, not overdone acidity. Always on the elegant side of things. Didn't catch the degorgement date on this but seemed very young. 17+/20

This is a Blanc de Blanc right down the middle of the fairway. Lemon zest, lime, minerals, refreshing acidity. Excellent concentration, but nothing out of place

50% 2018 base disgorged 2021. As others have commented this has a surprising cut of acidity even in a warm year like 2018. 3g/l dosage. Not showing a lot of development. Chalky, cool impression. Not quite austere but I'd like a bit more flesh.

2020 base, disgorged Autumn 2022. The first Lilbert for me that drank very well from the get-go. Very fresh and bright in the typical restrained style. Shows only a little 2020 vegetality, mostly it has a very pure and clean profile. Great acidity but not that challenging a wine, pairs very nicely with mild charcuterie.

Guiborat and Lilbert-Fils dinner with some extras (Long Ji) : 50% 2020, 50% reserve, disgorged winter 2023/2024, dosage 3g/l, lot: 24-01-561. Dense lime fruits, excellent depth, excellent weight on the palate with touch of toffee, honeycomb, med acid and long lemon curd finish.

Pale gold. Very crisp wine, fine mousse, emphasis on light pear and tart green apple as well as green grapes. Definitely not one of the fuller champagnes, alongside a big name it might come across as rather feeble in body, but it's really precise and lovely. Very low dosage, it is electifyingly zippy and nimble. A stoney finish, chalky perhaps, this is totally on point without being a knock-out. First of a case, bring it on.

Pronounced nose intensity with notes of lemon, grapefruit, bread, biscuit. High acidity.

Out of magnum. This is a non vintage on the label but the magnum is always 100% from the base vintage, in this case 2019 base. Excellent but in serious need of time

Prince Wine Store – Annual Champagne Tasting 2024 (Prince Wine Store) : 50% Reserve wine. Lemon, powder, sorbet, a little mineral on the nose. Nice flavour, medium acid but peaks a bit heavier in mid to late palate, it’s a little bitter, long finish. Small mousse (less pressure than normal). I liked.

Don't recall the base/lot, but this was lovely. Very youthful, but everything I want from a young BdB - tart, fresh pear and citrus fruit with a mineral base beneath and light toasty and yeasty accents on the nose. Bracing acids provide plenty of lift and vibrancy, and the whole package is very easy to drink.

Didn't catch the disgorgement/blend details but this was apparently one of the most recent releases. This is lovely. Not overly complex, but very easy to drink with lively citrus and pear fruit, gentle toasty and yeasty notes, and plenty of acidity beneath. Very clean, zippy expression of BdB.
