Maybach, Eterium Chardonnay, Sonoma County

Started drinking too cold, blossomed and improved over the next couple hours. Nose suggested a bit more oak than is delivered on the palate (in a good way). Nicely balanced.

Others liked this better than I did as I found it flabby. This vintage didn’t age as well as previous bottles. Still great nose including toasted marshmallow.

Gold and slightly cloudy, but a really beautiful color. Ripe stone fruit, beeswax and honeycomb on the nose with just a little oak. Med acid which has integrated well but still has a little citrus and is turning toward ripe fruit after a few years of bottle age, melon, peach a slight bitter/zest which is really nice.
