Great QPR

Certainly not an elegant wine, but for it's slightly over the top style, it's quite good. Plenty of ripe fruit on the palate, which would be overbearing, if not for the firm tannic structure and ample acidity. Some anise notes add complexity. Surprisingly little heat for the hefty 14.7% alcohol content. I can only guess whether cellaring would help mellow the aggressive fruit profile or wind up lessening the structure, resulting in an unchecked fruit bomb.

Not particularly subtle but very well structured. We opened a bootle in which the wine had leaked through but still very nice

Wonderful structure and complexity - lots of dust and terroir. Delicious!!

Excellent wine, still full of ripe berry and jam.

Decent nose, not huge but good flavor. Needs more.

Muddy, weak red color. Nose of grasses and green peppers (almost cab like). Blueberries, spcies and very smooth finish. A surprisingly decent wine, if not very exciting.

Sort of ghastly.

Incredibly smooth rich wine. Drinking great right now.
