Distinctive nose revealing Saumur terroir - smoky, chalky, mineral - with rich fruit and a soft, yet piercing acidity in the finish. Rated +1 on a scale of -1 to +3.

More golden in color, and far more developed than I had anticipated, the flavors surprisingly rich, the acidity soft, the mineral notes subdued but persistent, all giving the impression of a much older vintage. Rated +1 on a scale of -1 to +3.

Pale straw, a little musky initially but opened up into pear and bruised apple. The palate added some honey suckle and understated oak with medium acidity that cleaned up well after a decent length and promises more to come in the next year or two. Went well with brined pork.

Had the 2015. Mild rich wine, beautiful nose, less lush mouth, a lot was happening. Short finish. Had with cod and mushrooms with a bouillon. The wine took an oyster taste.

At Jules Verne: The sommelier advised against having this after the condrieu, but we persisted and were proved right. Really rather rich, structured, mineral. Excellent.

100% Chenin Blanc aged in oak barrles. FLAW. I just could notice very shy scents of melon and almonds. Very dull on the palate and nose. I believe this is might be a very interesting wine.

Wasn't expecting this to be quite so ripe, luscious almond texture, almost like a Jurancon, floral and limey, super
