Francine's home dinner with the Benningtons (Home in Dubai) : Opaque deep garnet, nose of chocolate, black cherries, oak. Full body, off-dry, medium acidity, very high alcohol but never burning, loaded with dark dried fruits, chocolate, medium (-)soft and ripe tannins . Powerful but never overwhelming, elegant rather. With Francine's lamb dish with reduction sauce infused with fig, great pairing. This is a great food wine

Deep garnet. Wide ranging pronounced nose of chocolate, dried fruits, oak, sweet spice. Off-dry, medium acidity, low tannins. Incredibly rich black fruits, raisins, cloves, black pepper, full body. Great texture, mouthfeel, long finish, a rich and powerful lasting wine. Perfect march with seared duck breast and Jerusalem artichoke puree, courtesy Francine. Value/money=8
