Clos de la Chapelle Champagne Audace

Shy on the nose and never really opened up completely. After 2 hour decant more giving on the palate but still backwards. Notes of citrus, apple, pear, green apple skin, vanilla, butterscotch but not quite in balance. Minerally long finish with plenty of acidity.

Terroirs de Corton - Les Grands Jours de Bourgogne (Cuverie Domaine Latour - Aloxe-Corton) : Walk around tasting. One of my personal favorites of the tasting. Ripe array of apples with some baked apple, yet certainly easily bright as well. Very good concentration with elegant balance. Lots here now, lots more in reserve for the future.
