Drukket til saltbakt kveite. Denne har hatt godt av tid, eikepreget er langt mer dempet og intergrert. Fin syre og struktur, fruktkjerne og sitrus. Overraskende bra for en Knewitz-skeptiker :)

Mirror my previous note; however drink well from start, with air the oak takes a bigger place and eventually it integrates better. Overall good development, but would have liked too see everything a bit more balanced. Time will do it good, I hope.

Pale color, funky on the nose with hints of oak and a splash of orange. Bright acidity on the palate. There's a touch of elderflower and a light, fresh feel overall. Some of that funk carries through, but the flavors stay pretty mellow and subtle. More flavour to match the acidity and funk would have improved it to great.

This wine demands patience before revealing its true character. At first glance, the oak influence is quite pronounced—perhaps overly so—dominating the initial impression and lending a sense of imbalance. However, with some air, the wine begins to evolve, and while the oak remains assertive, it integrates more gracefully over time. The acidity is vibrant and well-defined, offering a refreshing backbone. That said, the fruit profile feels somewhat subdued, leaving a slight gap in the mid-palate. The finish is impressively long, …

The wine was extremely plagued with sulfur and reduction, even after hours in the glass.

Howard Ripley portfolio tasting : Fresh and angular underneath the initial reduction- reminds me of a precise, mineral Chablis with greater mid-palate density. Sharp malic green apple, a beautiful oak signature and perfume which perfectly complements the fruit profile. Apple and lemon palate, bright acidity woven into the chalky structure. Very moreish and excellent at less than £25

Fine Chardonnay from Germany. Better than most Chardonnay for this price.

Blind. Nose is terrible, tjooo! - cat piss, elderberry, rubber, sour and ugly scents in waves. Palate is even worse, loads of alcohol, bitter oak and oily ugly fruit. My blind guess was Diatom (I called it 99% that wine, since it was so bad and so much alcohol and bad oak exploding in the glass and on the palate) F**k me – this is brutally bad – actually even worse than Diatom!

Smells German, but not Riesling. If that makes sense. Citrus, apples, butter, nice nose. Medium mouthfeel, herbal and fresh at the same time, nice balance, slightly bitterness on the end. Good concentration. Worth the price, but would not buy again.
